Ithaca, New York: Micky Roof's commitment to the emerging Ithaca Waterfront District, a revitalization and enhancement of the city's (and Cayuga Lake's) natural beauty, is taking another significant step forward. In May, Micky is moving her flagship jewelry design business Micky Roof, Designer / Goldsmith to Taughannock Boulevard, on the waterfront in Ithaca — while a hundred yards away, her popular retail shop The Jewelbox continues to serve the jewelry and jewelry repair needs of a growing and eclectic clientele.

Van Craeynest creates beautiful, antique style die-struck rings and bands — using techniques that were the high-end standard over a hundred years ago! This San Francisco company, established in 1920, still uses an internal apprenticeship system to pass on the old-world techniques (learned from European masters in the early twentieth century) to their evolving family of artisans.
